LeoVegas Betting: the palimpsests

We are now going to analyse in detail the LeoVegas sportsbook offer starting with football, by far the most popular sport in Italy. As highlighted by the initial evaluations, the real Achilles’ heel of the excellent offer of the Swedish bookmaker is represented by the number of markets available even for major matches. Just take Italy-Bulgaria, for example, the match valid for the 4th round of qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar: there are 78 open markets, with the presence of all the classic bets (Final Result, Double Chance, Goal, First/Second Half bets, Handicap, Correct Score), passing through the bets concerning the 1X2 with handicap and corners. Important possibilities are therefore missing: the universe of combos, Multigol, card and team statistics odds. LeoVegas can certainly do more from this point of view: the positive aspect is however represented by highly competitive odds.

Moving from football to tennis, however, we can see the depth of the offer by focusing on the opening matches of the US Open. Let’s take the match between Chardy and our Berrettini as a reference: the open markets concern the final result, the total games (under/over), the total set, the head-to-head handicap-set wins, the head-to-head handicap, the exact result, the total number of tie-breaks, the offers on sets (1st and 2nd set, total games in the 1st set). Going to the NBA, however, there will be around 70 different odds available per game, counting: final outcome, handicap, total points, result at the end of the 4th quarter, double chance-result at the end of the 4th quarter, total odd/even points.

Summing up, it is possible to state without fear of contradiction that LeoVegas’ offer is very complete: the limit is represented by the fact that, especially in reference to football, the bookmaker in orange does not manage to match the wealth of odds offered by the historical leaders of the Italian market. The margins for growth, however, are still very large.

LeoVegas Football: the schedule

LeoVegas guide

Football, as previously mentioned, is the most popular sport in our country and the one on which the most bets are placed. LeoVegas obviously tries to give as much space as possible to the Italians’ favourite game, giving the possibility to bet on the leagues of 44 different nations, with high odds and a fair variety of markets.

After registering on the official registration page of the book, there will be the possibility to bet on the most important international events for Club (Champions and Europa League, Copa Libertadores) and National (Nations League, World Cup 2018), without forgetting the most prestigious European tournaments (Serie A, A Series, Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, Liga NOS), their lower leagues, the various national cups and many other rising and fascinating leagues, such as the Turkish Super Lig, Brasilerao, the American MLS, passing through the tournaments of Wales and Jordan. The LeoVegas offer is overall good, with the variety of leagues on offer and the high odds being strong points, while there is still room for improvement when it comes to markets to bet on.

LeoVegas Live

LeoVegas app

The section dedicated to Live races has been one of the most important elements of evaluation for an online betting site for a few years now. Even LeoVegas has adapted, changing the graphics of the site just to give space to the sporting events taking place at that precise moment. On accessing the home page (which can also be done here), a whole section dedicated to “Live” and “Coming Soon” matches appears under the banner in the centre of the screen. The Live section is conveniently divided into sports and leagues, with the result of the match in progress and the most popular odds (final outcome 1X2 for football, final outcome 12 for sports such as tennis, tennis-volleyball, basketball, volleyball, etc.). To see all the live matches, divided by sport, you can click on “All Live Football” or “All Live Tennis”, etc.. This will open screens dedicated to all live matches at that moment, divided by tournament.

By selecting any of the matches in progress you can once again appreciate the intuitiveness of the graphics designed for the LeoVegas website. We choose the match between Acacia Ridge FC and Bayside United, two teams from the Australian Brisbane Premier League. A screen opens up that is very easy to decipher: on the left there is a column with all the Live odds: final result 1X2, first half 1X2, total corners, total goals -1st half, next goal, total goals, head-to-head handicap, corners, bets on first half and regular time. On the right hand side is a handy virtual scoreboard displaying the result, corners, penalties and ejections, as well as a virtual pitch showing the dangerous actions of the two teams. The only major flaw in LeoVegas Live is that it does not have a streaming section, a service which is becoming increasingly popular with users as it allows them to enjoy live coverage of the games they have bet on. In spite of everything, however, the section dedicated to the current competitions is promoted overall, thanks to the improved graphics, the immediacy of the information and the competitive odds.
